Open Innovation: Theory and Practice at the IAC

 On November 15th, Humboldt Cosmos Multiversity, besides the University of La Laguna and the Canary Islands Astrophysics Institute (IAC) organized a one-day seminar on open innovation. The conference had Mr.Bror Salmelin, Adviser for Innovation Systems at the European Commission as main moderator.

The event, held in the IAC’s facilities at La Laguna  discussed open innovation  (OI) as an innovation method and showed successful OI experiences in other regions. Additionally, a panel discussion on the role of regional and local research institutes, and the role of OI as a living lab methodology took place.
